Protect your free cells
Treat free cells as temporary tools, not storage. Filling all four removes your flexibility and usually prevents a useful supermove.
Create empty cascades
An empty cascade is more valuable than a single free cell because it can receive a stack. Clear a short column when the move opens access to buried cards.
Build foundations carefully
Move Aces and Twos home early, but avoid sending a card home if it is the only way to build an important alternating-color sequence in the tableau.
